![]() ![]() ( weird russian? language - but easy enough to work out the download ) THE KILL DEVIL HILLS come back with their 3rd album. This gang of Western Australia animals handle their swamp folk blues sound and take it to a wilder and more extreme world of sounds where melodies and violins are remaining present in a wall of sound in order to force you to stop and listen. If in the first album we had to name Nick Cave and Hugo Race as influential sounds, now we are pleasantly forzed to think of THE BEASTS OF BOURBON when we listen to some of the killer tracks in this record. THE KILL DEVIL HILLS come back with this second album where they continue in the direction of the first one but dirtier and with more rock. Mixing their roots of swamp blues with folk and rock, their melodies might remind you of a cross in between Nick Cave, Beasts Of Bourbon and Neil Young. ![]() Coming from Pert, Australia, this is the first album of this successful band. At times chugging along in a rockabilly howl, then turning out heart wrenching ballads of loss and vengeance, THE KILL DEVIL HILLS take a rolling, merry lunge at the heart of rock 'n' roll. Their sometimes rickety, sometimes dirty, frequently swampy and always intense take on country, folk, gospel blues and rock hearkening like some bawdy old Irish reel bashed out on a rusty banjo by a half-cut lumberjack, high on the music of moonshine. Formed in 2003 as an acoustic, country-tinged 3-piece, THE KILL DEVIL HILLS have slowly swelled ranks to become a rambling 6-piece outfit. 01- My Heart Beat Like A Hammer 02- Merry Go Round 03- Long Grey Mare 04- Hellhound On My Trail 05- Shake Your Moneymaker 06- Looking For Somebody 07- No Place To Go 08- My Baby's Good To Me 09- I Loved Another Woman 10- Cold Black Night 11- The World Keeps On Turning 12- Got To Move The Green Manalishi (With The Two Pronged Crown) VIDEO FILE Featuring: Mick Fleetwood Peter Green Danny Kirwan John McVie Jeremy Spencer Track 01. 01- Stop Messin’ ‘Round 02- I Loved Another Woman 03- I Believe 04- The Sun Is Shining 05- Long Tall Sally 06- Willie & The Hand Jive 07- Tuti Frutti 08- thanks by Peter Green 09- Ready Teddy 10- I Need Your Love So Bad 11- I Believe 12- Shake Your Moneymaker 13- Ready Teddy 14- Peter Green says thanks, announcer outro + crowd noise 01- Madison Blues 02- My Baby’s Gone 03- My Baby’s Skinny 04- Worried Dream 05- Dust My Broom 06- Got To Move 07- Worried Mind 08- instrumental 09- Have You Ever Loved A Woman 10- Lazy Poker Blues DISC 2.
